We have so many family memebers that, of course, want to celebrate with Carter that when we get all of them (close to 20), plus kids (between 10-15) and their parents (between 10 to 30) all together, it is choas in my living room! Plus, there are so many adults, it is really not a little kid's birthday party at all. (I know we are blessed to have so many people who want to celebrate with us! This is quite a good problem to have!) To elivate this, we decided to have a family party in Santa Fe! So that the party we had at home would truly be a kid party.
Noah and I & PawPaw and Gigi went in on a Little Tikes bounce house for Carter. We debated renting vs buying, but the bottom line (literally) was it was cheaper to buy than rent. It helped that we got a great deal on this bouncer at Toys R Us. So, we brought the bouncer down to Gangie's with us.
Ashton turned 6 on February 9th, so she and Carter were sharing this special family day and it was fun! The weather was a bit cool, but nice. We set up the bounce house in the front yard with the Little Tikes picnic table and Noah pulled out the grill to make hot dogs. Everyone came! The whole family was there and alot more kids came than expected which was all the more fun. Carter got to bounce and play with Ashton and Alissa, Danica and Alyssa, Jake, Devon and Alyssa. (Yes, we had 3 Ali/yssa's there!)
From noon until about 3pm, the kids bounced, had hot dogs and ate cake. But, mostly they just bounced. It was a day filled with lots of fun.
Thanks Gangie and Grandma for hosting. Thanks Auntie for the great Backyardigans cake. Thanks PawPaw and Gigi for the bounce house and the party food. Yea!
