(Noah, Dirk and Aaron went to high school and to A&M together. While at A&M, they were roommates. Noah and I introduced Aaron and Stephanie. It goes without saying, we are all connected on many levels and in many ways!)
So, now, with our kids born weeks apart in March- BTW this was not discussed or planned- and since we all live so close to each other, Amy, Stephanie and I coordinate our kids' birthday parties on different Saturdays in March, so that we can all attend each others' parties.
Get it?!
Sounds complicated, but thankfully, in the three years we've been doing it, it has all worked out.
This year, we had the added fun of hosting a baby shower for Dirk and Amy the second weekend in March (see post) so all four weekends in March were reserved so we could get together and celebrate our kids- both here and in utero!
Aaron's party was the third weekend in March. A great time with the added bonus of great weather. We brought over Carter's bounce house and the kids mostly played outside bouncing and riding in Aaron (and the twins) new wagon. I am so glad the weather was good and not like it was this weekend- cold and rainy. Aaron's party had a great moose theme going on and everything had the special hand made touches that Amy does so well.

Makenzie's party was the fourth Saturday in March- yesterday- at Pump it Up, Jr. A new place for us and in some ways very similar and in some ways very different to Boomerangs (see previous post). Carter, as always, ran and played and had a blast. Ah, to have 3 year old energy! Thanks to Makenzie for having us!
